Don't Settle As A Caterpillar

Don’t settle for a second-hand faith, or merely the contact high of worship. Don’t settle for the show of emotion or liturgy. Enter into the vast wonder of the presence of God.

The narrow way is stillness, where like the eye of the needle, we must unload our ego to enter in...By the skin of our teeth.

‘Come, come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest.’

So we enter into our rest and into the eternal transformation of the love of God.

Day by day we are unmade, undone like the caterpillar who spins a cocoon of transformation, where its body is being dissolved and the cells that know how to fly, weave and create a butterfly.

In our cocoon of stillness, we evolve under the eternal hands of our Master. We are fitted and changed becoming life-giving spirits at our core.

We work out this eternal into our life…eating our way out of our cocoons, developing the eternal character of love, joy, and peace, integrating our ego into its place as the servant of love.

We stretch out the wings of our eternal nature with patience, kindness, and goodness, as we work out gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control into our life with others.

So we fly as life-giving spirits, being both of earth and of heaven. We are in Christ and Christ is in us.

So as Jesus, the last Adam who as a life-giving spirit, births heaven into us, so do we.

Go in Peace.

And may love form your path, joy fill your heart, for peace is the work of your hands.
